Description

Design, develop, test, and debug embedded/firmware software in C/C++ (primarily C) for ARM-based platforms. Implement and validate industrial communication protocols such as PROFIBUS and Modbus, working with RTOS and Linux/QNX environments. Use modeling and simulation with MATLAB/Simulink and participate in defining architecture, requirements, and product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded firmware/software
• Program microcontrollers, embedded systems, and control applications
• Develop software for ARM, RTOS, Linux/QNX platforms
• Implement and test communication protocols (e.g., PROFIBUS, Modbus)
• Debug software and hardware; analyze and resolve issues
• Model and simulate systems in MATLAB/Simulink and generate code from models
• Contribute to defining architecture, product requirements, and specifications
• Prepare documentation and test procedures; support testing
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the full product development lifecycle
• Work with Git/SVN and Teamcenter PLM tools

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of C and ARM architecture
• Experience programming embedded systems for microcontrollers and RTOS
• Knowledge of Linux/QNX environments and communication protocols (PROFIBUS, Modbus)
• Experience developing industrial applications/software
• Ability to analyze problems and debug both software and hardware
• Basic control theory, dynamic system modeling, and system analysis knowledge
• English at C1 level
• Willingness for occasional business trips to Germany (~3–4 times per year)
