Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior Computer Vision Software Developer

  • Focus areas: on-device runtime engine and vision tools integration library for fixed industrial smart cameras

Description

Senior Computer Vision Software Developer contributing to cross-platform native codebases for smart cameras: a Linux-based on-device runtime engine (device lifecycle, IPC, and vision job execution) and a core machine-vision tools integration library. The role involves designing and implementing high-performance, real-time image-processing pipelines in modern C++ (C++23), with rigorous code review and testing. Agentic AI coding tools may be used to accelerate development while maintaining robust architecture and software design quality.

Responsibilities

  • Define requirements and prioritize features for moderately complex cross-platform native projects

  • Lead and deliver software design and development, converting core algorithms into product-ready tools

  • Perform code reviews with strict quality expectations (0 warnings) using clang-tidy, clang-format, and SonarQube

  • Optimize real-time image-processing pipelines and IPC on resource-constrained smart camera hardware

  • Develop tests and comprehensive documentation

  • Create or extend build/test/debug automation tools/scripts (e.g., CMake, Python) as needed

  • Use and mentor others on agentic AI programming tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding

Requirements

  • 5+ years of preferred work experience

  • Expert proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20/23)

  • Strong multi-threading experience and multi-platform build systems (CMake) with dependency management (Conan or vcpkg)

  • Strong software architecture knowledge and cross-platform development (Linux and Windows)

  • Experience with IPC and applying GenAI/Agentic AI tools in the software development lifecycle

  • Testing strategy experience (GTest) and advanced native debugging (gdb, valgrind, sanitizers) across operating systems

  • Ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies; preferred exposure to machine vision libraries and native-to-scripting bridges (Node.js N-API), plus networking/IPC frameworks (DBus, ZeroMQ, Boost)

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including optimizing concurrent software and handling portability pitfalls of multi-threading

  • Proficiency with Git/GitHub and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to mentor junior team members

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a performance-sensitive environment
