Description

You will work with stakeholders across editorial, product management, marketing, and sales to identify needs, structure requirements, and formulate use cases. The role includes creating requirement documents, user stories, epics, and features with clear acceptance criteria, then validating them through reviews, tests, and user feedback. You will also improve requirements engineering process standards using modern tools such as Confluence, Jira, Miro, and requirements management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to discover needs and structure requirements

  • Write requirement documentation including User Stories, Epics, and Features with acceptance criteria

  • Prioritize requirements based on business value, feasibility, and available resources

  • Work with UX/UI, Data Science, and Engineering to ensure usability, performance, data protection, and scalability are considered

  • Evaluate external service provider results, provide constructive feedback, and support continuous improvement

  • Drive continuous validation of requirements via reviews, tests, and user feedback

  • Identify and mitigate risks, uncertainties, assumptions, and dependencies

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable field

  • Several years of experience as a Requirements Engineer, Business Analyst, or similar (ideally in media or digital products)

  • Strong analytical ability to structure and communicate complex topics clearly

  • Experience with agile methods (Scrum or Kanban) and understanding of software architecture, data models, and interfaces

  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, and requirements management tools

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Very good German and English written and spoken proficiency

  • Willingness to be on-site regularly (about 2–3 days per week)
