Description

Build and launch customer-facing capabilities for an intelligent assistant that combines generative AI with AWS context, retrieval, tools, and actions. You will own features from design and implementation through deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Solve hard problems in LLM grounding, agentic workflows, distributed systems, latency, reliability, and security—measuring quality beyond traditional testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and launch assistant capabilities and backend services
  • Build systems connecting foundation models with AWS knowledge, customer context, retrieval, APIs, tools, and actions
  • Independently solve complex problems across generative AI, retrieval, tool execution, agentic workflows, latency, reliability, and security
  • Take feature/service ownership across the full lifecycle, including operational readiness and incident response
  • Contribute to architecture and design reviews; evaluate trade-offs for scalability, maintainability, security, and cost
  • Build production systems with strong testing, observability, monitoring, and deployment practices
  • Collaborate with engineers and applied scientists to bring advances in foundation models, retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI into production

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
  • 1+ years software development engineer or related experience
  • 1+ years designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications/tools/systems/services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or related) or foreign equivalent
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
