Description

You will design and build a managed Slurm service on Kubernetes, develop scheduling/orchestration for distributed GPU workloads, and create observability with automated remediation for failures across GPU, nodes, network, and the control plane. The work requires clean, maintainable Go code while preserving traditional Slurm behavior under a Kubernetes-based infrastructure layer. You’ll treat Slurm as a customer-facing platform and collaborate with the team on end-to-end distributed-system challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a managed Slurm service on Kubernetes
• Write clean, reliable, and maintainable Go code
• Develop scheduling and orchestration for GPU-intensive and distributed workloads
• Implement observability and automated remediation for GPU, node, network, and control-plane failures using VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, and DCGM

Requirements

• Hands-on Slurm production experience from a user’s perspective (sbatch, srun, squeue, sinfo)
• Strong proficiency in Go and experience building production-grade Kubernetes operators/controllers/CRDs and reconciliation loops
• Ability to preserve traditional Slurm cluster behavior while running the underlying infrastructure on Kubernetes
• Experience diagnosing performance and reliability issues across GPUs, schedulers, hardware, high-performance networks, and distributed storage
• Product mindset and customer empathy; ability to treat Slurm as a customer-facing platform
• Excellent communication skills and end-to-end ownership of complex distributed-system challenges
