Description

You will shape, standardize, and scale SRE practices from the ground up for critical, high-frequency transactional platforms running on a hybrid setup (AWS cloud plus on-premises servers). You will partner with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering teams to improve scalability, resilience, and uptime.

Responsibilities

• SRE Evangelism: Design and champion reliability principles and sustainable scaling practices

• Observability Architecture: Implement and maintain monitoring, telemetry, and distributed tracing using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo (OpenTelemetry)

• Kubernetes Optimization: Provide best-practice configurations for resilient, cost-effective, high-performance Kubernetes workloads

• Incident Management & Culture: Participate in a shared on-call rotation (about one week per month)

• Automation & Engineering: Build custom tooling and CI/CD pipelines for health checks and rapid disaster recovery

• SLO/SLA Definition: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define, monitor, and enforce SLOs and error budgets

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering for complex distributed production systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Deep knowledge of modern observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo/OTel)

• Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with hybrid infrastructure (AWS preferred) and on-premises hardware

• Proficiency writing maintainable automation code in at least one language (Python, Bash, or Go)

• Solid grounding in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and agile development

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey reliability concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
