Description

You will develop, implement, and document complex embedded software for microcontrollers both bare metal and with an operating system. The role includes requirement analysis, contributions to system concepts, software architecture and API design, and participation in hardware reviews and test documentation. You will also support performance optimization of existing codebases.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle design, implementation, and documentation of complex embedded software on microcontrollers (bare metal and with OS)

• Perform requirements analysis and contribute to system conception

• Create software architectures, design APIs, and produce the associated documentation

• Support hardware development through reviews of hardware designs and schematics

• Create test concepts for formal acceptance and other tests, including documentation

• Contribute to effort estimation and concepts for proposals in acquisition projects

• Analyze and optimize existing codebases (e.g., identify bottlenecks and improve system performance)

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable

• Several years of embedded development experience

• In-depth knowledge of hardware-near software development in C/C++ and Assembly

• Sound electrical engineering knowledge and understanding of analog and digital circuit components

• Confident use of collaboration platforms, version control, and development environments

• Willingness to bring in new technologies and best practices and develop within the team

• Willingness for occasional business travel

• Very good German skills (spoken and written)

• Independent, systematic approach, strong quality awareness, creativity, and teamwork
