Description

Join a team building a next-generation, passwordless authentication platform used by millions worldwide, enabling secure digital identities through advanced biometrics. You’ll be one of the first engineers for a new team inside an identity platform, helping shape architecture and engineering standards from the start. You’ll build features across the stack—primarily in Scala, with TypeScript and React.

Responsibilities

• Help define architecture, engineering standards, and ways of working from the start

• Build backend features and collaborate across the stack (Scala primarily; TypeScript and React)

• Use AI tools in daily development to improve coding, testing, and documentation

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience building production backend services at scale, including designing scalable systems

• Strong knowledge of Scala (Node.js experience is a plus)

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React

• Functional programming foundations (pure functions, composition, algebraic data types) with interest in applying them

• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL)

• Experience using AI tools for coding, testing, documentation, and collaboration

• Good knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, and modern web communication patterns

• Experience with cloud environments and containers (AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)

• Experience with backend testing approaches and tools

• Ability to work across the stack and take ownership of solutions

• Very good English and Polish communication skills
