Description

Own end-to-end frontend features, from early product conversations through shipped production UI. Maintain and improve a multi-year React/TypeScript codebase while partnering with product and business stakeholders to deliver higher quality, speed, and accessibility. Build rapid, credible prototypes using AI coding tools, ensuring outputs stay reviewable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver own frontend features end to end, including parts nobody assigned

• Build quick, credible prototypes to help the team choose direction before committing

• Work directly with product and business stakeholders to refine questions that change the spec

• Push back on specifications and API designs when they make the frontend worse

• Keep a several-year-old React codebase healthy so it remains pleasant to work in

• Improve UI quality, performance, and accessibility

• Turn designs and rough sketches into interfaces that look right on every screen

• Prototype and ship faster with AI coding tools while keeping output reviewable

• Review code and participate in technical decisions in a small senior frontend team

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production web applications

• Deep knowledge of React (rendering behavior, state management trade-offs)

• Strong TypeScript skills

• Solid CSS and layout skills

• Experience consuming and shaping REST APIs

• Daily use of AI coding tools as a core part of development

• Ability to build faster working prototypes with AI and explain concretely how you delegate, write, and review

• Working knowledge of AI failure modes and habits to catch issues (e.g., plausible-but-wrong code, scope drift)

• Experience owning frontend work in a small team or startup

• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

• Availability for at least 3 hours daily overlap with US Eastern Time

• Professional spoken and written English
