Description

You’ll join a team developing a Software Security Platform and help transition from expensive vendor platforms to your own cloud-based, open-source solutions on GCP. The work blends backend development, security, automation, and production reliability for services that must operate at large scale. The role is suited for someone who wants to build solutions beyond just pulling tasks from a backlog.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services for the platform
• Ensure code quality and security from the design stage
• Automate processes and reduce manual work
• Build services that are scalable and production-ready (including monitoring)
• Apply observability, resilience, and cloud cost optimization
• Work with event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub
• Question existing approaches and propose alternative solutions
• Share knowledge and grow engineering practices within the team

Requirements

• Go as a key technology
• Experience with Python/Django and Node.js/TypeScript/NestJS
• Practical knowledge of GCP: Cloud Run, GKE, Filestore
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Kubernetes experience with GKE
• PostgreSQL experience, including query optimization under heavy parallel operations
• Experience with event-driven architecture and Pub/Sub
• Knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect
• Understanding of Zero Trust
• Experience building backend services that can be scaled and monitored
• Knowledge of observability, resilience, and cloud cost optimization
• Ability to own the full service lifecycle from development to production
• Security mindset and responsibility from early design
• Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills
