Description

You will bridge visual design and technical implementation by turning UX wireframes into high-quality, interactive user interfaces in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5). The role focuses on creating and optimizing UI elements, materials, shaders, and motion systems while ensuring visual fidelity, performance, and consistency across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Convert UX wireframes into polished UI designs, prototypes, and design systems using Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Implement and animate user interfaces in Unreal Engine 5 using UMG, Slate, Material Editor, Niagara, Sequencer, and Blueprint logic
• Build and maintain menus, HUDs, UI shaders, VFX, and transitions for PC, console, and mobile
• Create reusable frameworks, material functions, template libraries, and animation systems
• Apply camera, lighting, and post-processing techniques to enhance spatial and diegetic UI experiences
• Optimize UI assets for performance (texture packing, shader cost management, runtime profiling)
• Collaborate with UX designers, technical artists, and engineers to ensure visual and functional integration
• Maintain and evolve consistent style guides and design standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UI Art, UI Technical Art, or Game UI Development
• Proven hands-on Unreal Engine 5 expertise (UMG, Slate, Niagara, Blueprints, Sequencer, Material Editor)
• Strong understanding of UI animation principles, motion design, easing, and micro-interactions
• Experience designing and optimizing shaders and textures for multi-platform performance
• Proficiency in lighting, rendering, and post-processing for spatial UI implementation
• Strong visual design fundamentals: typography, composition, hierarchy, iconography
• Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design, in-engine motion graphics, and real-time FX work
• Fluent English communication for cross-functional collaboration
