Description

You will design and implement scalable Unity/C# features and systems for a tactical RPG with turn-based combat, deep progression, and team synergy mechanics. The role includes shaping the technical direction, improving existing systems and production-support tools, ensuring architectural consistency and code quality, and performing performance and stability optimization. You’ll collaborate closely with game designers, artists, QA, and producers to translate design goals into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build architecture for new game features and systems
  • Implement new functionality in Unity/C# with a focus on quality, performance, and scalability
  • Co-create the project’s technical vision and suggest directions for code/architecture development
  • Make technical decisions to guide project evolution and solution quality
  • Develop and maintain existing game systems and tools supporting production
  • Collaborate with game designers, artists, QA, and producers to convert design assumptions into technical implementations
  • Maintain architectural consistency and high code quality across the project
  • Identify technical risks and propose solutions to mitigate issues later in production
  • Optimize project performance and stability
  • Support the team via code reviews

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial C# development
  • 3–5 years of experience working with Unity
  • Very strong knowledge of application architecture, design patterns, clean code, SOLID, and programming best practices
  • Experience designing and developing scalable systems
  • Experience with profiling, performance optimization, and analyzing CPU/GPU/memory bottlenecks
  • Knowledge of the application lifecycle and game development process
  • Good knowledge of Git
  • Ability to write clear, testable, maintainable code
  • Experience debugging complex technical problems
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions and propose solutions
  • Experience working with designers, artists, QA, and other developers
  • Ability to conduct code reviews and mentor less experienced team members
  • Ability to use AI tools for code generation (Codex, Claude Code)
  • Autonomy, proactivity, and a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication skills; ability to explain technical topics to business or design stakeholders
  • Ability to organize personal work and prioritize tasks
  • Openness to feedback and willingness to support team development
