Description

You will administer, maintain, and further develop the Laboratory Information System (LIS), the middleware, and connected analysis devices. You will optimize database structures, manage SQL databases on Linux, and drive digitization from order entry to digital report delivery. The role also includes 3rd-level troubleshooting of complex system errors and ensuring IT security compliance (DSGVO/KRITIS), with support for ISO 15189 validations.

Responsibilities

• Administration, further development, and integration of the LIS, middleware, and connected analysis instruments
• Optimization of data structures and administration of SQL databases under Linux
• Advancing digitization of internal lab workflows from order entry to digital report transmission
• Analyzing and resolving complex system errors in 3rd-level support; central contact for specialist departments and external partners
• Ensuring compliance with IT security standards (DSGVO/KRITIS) and supporting validations according to ISO 15189

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a degree in Informatics
• Alternatively: IT-affine career changer (m/w/d) with medical-technical training (MTA/MTLA) and appropriate additional qualification
• Experience supporting laboratory or hospital information systems (LIS/KIS) and working with medical standards such as LDT or HL7
• Confident handling of SQL databases, Linux server environments, and Bash scripting
• Structured working style, analytical thinking, and quality awareness
• Enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration and exchanging knowledge within the team
