Description

Lead end-to-end electrical power distribution design—from scope through construction—for systems from medium voltage down to 120V loads. Apply the NEC to develop code-compliant designs, coordinate across stakeholders, and own electrical deliverables (single-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding drawings, underground conduit drawings, power plans, lighting layouts) in Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical power distribution design from scope through construction
• Apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) to develop code-compliant designs and set design direction
• Drive coordination with Design Managers, Manufacturing, Construction, and other stakeholders
• Own IFP/IFC electrical deliverables in Revit MEP (single-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding drawings, underground conduit drawings, power plans, lighting layouts)
• Schedule field walks and surveys with peers and Construction
• Review/approve equipment submittals; update specifications; answer RFIs and design questions
• Review packages produced by others and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability
• 6–10 years of experience in industrial and/or manufacturing MEP electrical design
• Expert-level proficiency completing and reviewing electrical deliverables using Revit MEP
• NEC proficiency to calculate and coordinate overcurrent protection, including conductors, transformers, and medium voltage distribution, plus conductor and grounding sizing
• Experience designing power systems from medium voltage down to 120V
• Highly organized; able to prioritize, multitask across projects, and lead work across disciplines
