Description

You will develop and maintain low-power IoT firmware, including new firmware for upcoming projects. You will analyze and fix errors and performance issues, implement security- and risk-driven technical measures, and improve unit testing. You will also develop and optimize BLE-related features for reliable sensor data transmission and firmware updates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain existing firmware
• Develop firmware for new projects
• Analyze and resolve bugs and performance issues
• Implement security and risk mitigation measures, especially aligned with the Cyber Resilience Act
• Develop and maintain unit tests
• Build and optimize BLE features, particularly for firmware updates and reliable sensor data transmission
• Document technical decisions and solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (app development, product management, lab, production)
• Contribute to product evolution from current firmware to the next generation (concept to implementation and integration), owning specific subsystems or projects

Requirements

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering/Technical Informatics, or comparable
• In-depth knowledge of C and experience with Python or MATLAB
• Embedded software development experience for microcontrollers, ideally ARM Cortex-M-based
• Unit testing experience, ideally including test automation and CI/CD
• Experience with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
• Basic electrical engineering knowledge
• Independent, proactive working style
