Description

You will plan and deliver customer projects for firewalls and modern network environments, including both on-premises and cloud operation. The role includes advising on complex network architectures, troubleshooting networks and firewalls, optimizing performance, and developing security measures for business-critical processes. You will also produce technical and project documentation and collaborate with project leadership, sales, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement customer projects related to firewall, WLAN, switching, and security
• Consult on complex network architecture design in core and edge environments
• Support the managed-service team for operational and XaaS customers
• Operate and continuously improve modern network landscapes on-premises and in the cloud
• Analyze networks and firewalls, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Develop security measures for business-critical customer processes
• Create technical documentation, architecture concepts, and project documentation
• Work closely with project management, sales, customers, and internal specialists

Requirements

• Completed IT training or degree (e.g., IT specialist for system integration or equivalent)
• Multi-year hands-on experience in network and firewall environments
• Experience with vendors including Cisco, HPE Networking, or Fortinet
• Knowledge of firewall solutions such as Sophos or Barracuda
• Experience with manufacturer cloud and on-prem management platforms
• Security background (e.g., NAC) and experience in network design and architecture
• Ideally: vendor certifications
• Structured, independent working style; team spirit and strong customer focus
• Very good German and English skills (verbal and written)
