Description

You will take ownership of the networking and VPN layer for Linux-based firmware in industrial 4G/5G cellular routers. The work includes routing design/development/tuning, dynamic failover, and implementing and optimizing VPN technologies such as WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IPsec. You will also handle embedded networking features (firewall/NAT, VLAN, QoS, dual-stack IPv6) and improve performance, stability, and security of the network stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and tune routing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, RIP) and dynamic failover

• Develop and support VPN technologies: WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec (IKEv1/IKEv2), L2TP

• Implement and optimize firewalling and networking features: NAT/PAT, VLAN, QoS, dual-stack IPv6

• Optimize network stack performance, stability, and security

• Collaborate with teams working on cellular modules, BSP, and security for end-to-end integration

Requirements

• Linux networking knowledge and strong TCP/IP fundamentals, including routing protocols

• Practical experience with at least one VPN technology (WireGuard / OpenVPN / IPsec)

• Programming experience in C/C++ (preferred) or Python for embedded/Linux platforms

• Working knowledge of Git and debugging on real hardware

• English proficiency for reading documentation and communicating in an international team
