Description

You will coordinate strategic initiatives aimed at improving data quality and strengthening Data Governance for a banking client. The role includes identifying data quality problems, defining priorities, and driving coordinated actions that deliver real business value. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to support decision-making, governance processes, and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and prioritize a backlog of data quality problems and related initiatives
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify needs, challenges, and expected business benefits
• Run workshops, working sessions, and analytical sessions with business representatives
• Collect, analyze, and refine business requirements related to data and data quality
• Work with Business Analysts and Data Analysts to analyze reported issues and propose solutions
• Define recommendations and initiate actions to improve data quality across the organization
• Coordinate work of a team including Business Analyst and Data Analyst; collaborate with matrix experts
• Manage scope, priorities, and monitor execution of agreed actions
• Coordinate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, business representatives, and IT teams
• Identify dependencies between initiatives and recommend an implementation order based on business value
• Track progress, manage risks, and support the decision-making process
• Prepare reports, summaries, and present recommendations to stakeholders at multiple management levels
• Document agreements, decisions, risks, and outcomes from stakeholder collaboration

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Project Manager, Product Owner, Business Owner, Lead Business Analyst, or similar
• Experience managing projects related to Data Governance, Data Quality, or Data Management
• Hands-on backlog management and prioritization of initiatives
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business and IT teams
• Experience running workshops and aligning on business requirements
• Stakeholder management experience, including collaboration with senior leadership
• Experience coordinating matrix-based teams
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Practical knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office
• Preferred: banking/financial sector experience
• Preferred: Data Catalog, Metadata, Data Lineage, and basic SQL
