• Role: Delphi Developer (technical lead)

• Contract: B2B, 100–120 PLN net + VAT per hour

• Location/Work model: Office in Łódź 1 day per month

Description

You’ll support the development of key business systems in the insurance domain by building new Delphi modules, shaping engineering standards, and helping evolve the application framework and architecture. The role focuses on clean, high-performance code, effective code reviews, and designing efficient communication with Oracle via PL/SQL. You’ll collaborate with business analysts in an Agile environment and contribute to automating documentation/standard checks using GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Develop new modules in Delphi 13.1 and maintain code cleanliness and performance

• Co-develop application architecture and lead code reviews and programming best practices

• Contribute to automation processes (code documentation generation, standard verification) using GitHub Copilot

• Design efficient interaction with the database layer in Oracle using PL/SQL

• Work with business analysts and the team in Agile to clarify solutions for complex insurance products

Requirements

• Senior Delphi experience (minimum 5+ years); Delphi 12/13 experience is welcome

• Experience designing/maintaining complex B2B/enterprise systems

• Deep understanding of Delphi mechanisms: memory management, interface lifecycle and reference counting, generics, and BPL packages

• Very good SQL and PL/SQL skills (ability to read/write stored procedures/functions)

• Practical knowledge or willingness to use AI in code/documentation work within GitHub Copilot (approved environment)

• Knowledge of Oracle & PL/SQL

• Familiarity with DevExpress and DevArt standard components (without needing custom replacements)

• Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence and experience in Agile teams

• Strong personal culture, ability to share knowledge, and a collaborative approach with the team and business

• Bonus: Insurance or finance sector experience

• Bonus: Software engineering best practices and CI/CD pipeline experience
