Description

Lead high-impact UX research to reduce ambiguity and de-risk product and design decisions for AI-native business applications. Partner with Design, Product, Engineering, and Applied Science to evaluate concepts, improve live customer experiences, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that influence roadmaps. Work across tactical and foundational research in ambiguous spaces using methodological judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end research programs (study design, recruitment, moderation, analysis, synthesis, and communications)
• Run rapid evaluative studies and foundational research (interviews, surveys, diary, journey, mixed-methods)
• Partner with senior stakeholders to inform product strategy and improve customer experiences
• Define research plans for ambiguous problem spaces and select appropriate approaches based on risk and product stage
• Identify unmet needs, product gaps, adoption barriers, and trust issues early to de-risk investments
• Translate findings into recommendations that improve usability, adoption, trust, and overall customer experience quality
• Influence roadmaps and prioritization by making customer evidence visible and actionable at the right times
• Build domain expertise through ongoing study of customer workflows, prototypes, competitive products, and industry trends
• Mentor junior researchers and raise research quality and consistency
• Explore thoughtful ways to use AI to improve speed, depth, or quality in research and product development

Requirements

• 5+ years leading user research projects with demonstrated impact
• 5+ years hands-on experience with field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design
• Bachelor’s degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related field
• Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
• Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics
• Portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
