Description

Lead mixed-method UX research for AI-powered search and experiences, turning customer insights into product strategy and measurable impact. Conduct exploratory, generative research and rapid evaluations of prototyped ideas, collaborating across disciplines to answer the unspoken questions behind user needs. Use strong quantitative methods and an AI-native research workflow to elevate the research craft and influence at senior organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer behaviors, motivations, needs, and aspirations to create differentiated advantages for AI-powered experiences

• Drive product strategy through rigorous, multi-stage research executed to high standards

• Balance rigor with scrappiness to move quickly with a fast-moving team

• Collaborate cross-team across all disciplines from early stages through final implementations

• Guide teams in new creative directions and set ambitious goals

• Identify opportunities to improve research processes, culture, and methodologies

• Lead research for highly visible products or initiatives with notable risk and complexity

• Influence at the highest levels of the organization

• Elevate the research craft of the team and embody team culture and values

Requirements

• Doctorate in a related field + 1+ year(s) UX research experience, OR Master’s + 3+ years, OR Bachelor’s + 4+ years, OR equivalent experience

• Strong quantitative expertise, including statistical analysis methods such as ANOVA, Regression, and Cluster Analysis

• Experience designing and executing large-scale surveys

• Experience conducting interviews, evaluating experiences, and synthesizing insights into product strategy

• AI-native approach to research, incorporating AI into research workflows to produce tangible improvements

Benefits

• Base pay range (U.S.): USD $119,800–$234,700/year; San Francisco Bay Area and NYC metro: USD $160,200–$261,000/year
