Description

Lead finance partnership with Engineering leaders to optimize resource allocation, investment decisions, and operating leverage. Build financial models and analysis connecting resource and workforce planning to overall financial performance, and monitor performance vs. plan/forecast and key drivers. Drive portfolio health through process excellence while aligning resources and investments with business strategy and engineering roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering leaders to provide strategic leadership on resource allocation and investment optimization
  • Provide visibility into the resource landscape; analyze macro-level results using systems thinking to identify decision levers
  • Build a cohesive story through resource allocation and workforce planning; connect resource allocation to financial performance
  • Analyze performance against plan/forecast; monitor trends and key levers to support business/finance rhythms
  • Continuously assess portfolio health by reviewing key drivers, identifying opportunities, risks, and tradeoffs
  • Ensure resources and investments remain aligned with business strategy, product engineering roadmaps, and company priorities

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years relevant experience in financial analysis/accounting/controllership/finance; or Bachelor’s degree AND 4+ years; or equivalent experience
  • Additional experience requirements: 6+ years (Master’s) or 8+ years (Bachelor’s) post-graduate experience in financial analysis/accounting/controllership/finance; or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year experience in multinational, multi-product/multi-segment finance roles
  • 1+ year experience in matrix-based organization
  • 1+ year experience in technology or software industry
  • Financial analysis experience; preference for high-tech, especially commercial cloud services business models and economics
  • Ability to prioritize and operate effectively in ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to partner with, communicate with, and influence executives; make complex topics simple through storytelling
  • Ability to influence and impact without authority; solve difficult problems and drive simplicity
  • Interpersonal and cross-group collaboration skills
  • Proficiency structuring and mining large volumes of data from disparate sources (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL)
  • Advanced Excel skills including advanced functions and charting
