Description

Own the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for Inventory, Product Costing, Manufacturing Accounting, and Work Order capabilities that support factory operations and financial integrity at global scale. Define end-to-end value streams for work orders and inventory transactions, drive standard/actual costing and variance processes, and ensure results flow accurately into financials with auditability and SOX-ready controls. Partner with engineering and cross-functional manufacturing/finance teams to ship systems used daily across factories.

Responsibilities

• Own product vision and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to factory UPH, inventory accuracy, and close timelines

• Define end-to-end value streams across work order lifecycle (create → release → issue/return → complete/close) and inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, WIP)

• Translate manufacturing and accounting requirements into PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics; prioritize by impact vs. complexity

• Drive costing excellence: BOM/routing cost rolls, standard cost maintenance, purchase price/usage variances, labor/overhead rates, WIP valuation, and inventory revaluation with full auditability

• Ensure manufacturing accounting integrity: period-end processes, inventory subledger ↔ GL reconciliation, COGS recognition, capitalization vs. expense rules, multi-entity/multi-currency, and SOX-ready controls

• Work with engineering on architecture trade-offs, API contracts with MES/ERP/WMS/PLM, data quality, and performance at factory scale

• Lead discovery via workshops, shop-floor shadowing, and validation before broad rollout

• Measure outcomes: inventory accuracy, WIP aging, cost variance root-cause cycle time, close days, exception rates, automation of manual journals, and user adoption

• Orchestrate cross-functional launches across sites/regions with rollout, training, cutover, and hypercare plans and clear RACI

• Raise product craft standards with crisp specs, decision logs, and executive-ready narratives on risk, dependencies, and ROI

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management (or equivalent)

• 3+ years owning ERP/MES-adjacent or manufacturing finance products (inventory, costing, WIP, or work orders)

• Fluency in manufacturing operations and cost accounting concepts (BOMs, routings, work centers, standard costing, variances, WIP, inventory valuation methods, period close)

• Track record delivering complex, multi-system products with integrations (MES, WMS, procurement, GL) and high data-integrity needs

• Comfort partnering with engineers and accountants on data models, transaction flows, edge cases, and control design

• Strong stakeholder leadership across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Controllership/Internal Audit, and IT; able to work calmly under close pressure and production incidents

• Excellent written and verbal communication; experience presenting options and recommendations to directors/VPs

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, CS, or equivalent experience

Compensation

$112,000–$204,000 annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits, with pay varying based on factors such as market location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
