Description

You will help advance a new faculty and the Department Information Systems by shaping teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration in the area of secure information systems and digital sovereignty. The role requires strong research output, international visibility, successful acquisition and delivery of third-party funded projects, and proven teaching experience. You will also contribute to cooperation within the AI Network Bavaria, particularly with thematically related groups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on methodological approaches to ensure security, trust, and digital sovereignty in information systems and value-creation networks, including economic and organizational aspects of secure information systems
• Contribute to innovative concepts and technologies that strengthen the security of data, digital systems, and infrastructures, and support self-determination in transformation processes for companies and public organizations
• Address the economic and societal relevance of secure information systems and digital sovereignty in research and teaching
• Participate in collaborations within the AI Network Bavaria, especially with related consortia
• Help shape the further build-out of the new Faculty of Computer Science and Data Science (Department Information Systems / Business Informatics)
• Teach in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs
• Collaborate with colleagues from other faculties
• Participate in academic self-administration

Requirements

• Academic excellence evidenced by publications in relevant high-ranking journals and at renowned international conferences
• Successful acquisition and execution of competitive third-party funded research projects with high visibility in the international scientific community
• Relevant teaching experience
• Participation in academic self-administration and teaching
• At least one completed higher education degree
• Pedagogical aptitude
• Demonstrated special aptitude for scientific work, typically evidenced by the quality of a doctorate
• Additional scholarly achievements evidenced by habilitation or equivalent achievements (or demonstrated through a junior professorship)
• Meets civil-service appointment requirements under Bavarian law (BayBG and BayHIG)
• Compliance with the age limit per Art. 60 Abs. 3 BayHIG
