Description

You’ll complete a dual study program leading to a B.Sc. in Business Informatics, combining academic fundamentals with real IT projects and business process work. The curriculum covers programming, databases, operating systems, IT networks, project management, and IT security, alongside business topics and English for business informatics. You’ll gain increasing responsibility over time and can help shape where your practice phases take place.

Responsibilities

• Learn foundations of computer science and business administration
• Build skills in programming, databases, operating systems, IT networks, and project management
• Work with software, system usage/integration, architectures, and IT security
• Engage with business processes and develop English for business informatics
• Collaborate in agile, modern teams with flat hierarchies
• Contribute to exciting IT projects
• Participate in database modeling, software development, and project controlling
• Support practice phases across business areas such as sales, marketing, finance, and controlling (as applicable)
• Take on more responsibility as the program progresses

Requirements

• Completed (technical) high school diploma (Fach-)Abitur or equivalent qualification
• Fachabitur applicants: complete the DHBW study aptitude test before the start
• Vocationally qualified applicants: meet admission requirements for enrollment
• Strong interest in math, informatics, and business studies
• Interest in digital solutions and automation
• Ability to think economically
• Enjoy teamwork and demonstrate logical thinking
• Strong German and English skills
