Description

Lead QA automation for an embedded wireless System-on-Chip (SoC) by designing and maintaining an end-to-end automated test architecture. Build Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) automation and CI/CD pipelines to validate silicon, low-level HAL, RTOS integrations, wireless connectivity, and hardware-enforced security under production-like workloads. You will lead QA across the portfolio and troubleshoot complex hardware–firmware integration failures while contributing to a flagship wireless platform before it reaches the IoT market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead QA team across the portfolio
  • Define test strategy for SDK core, wireless connectivity, security, and developer tooling
  • Work with HIL setups, RTOSes (Zephyr, FreeRTOS), and multi-core communication protocols
  • Collaborate with firmware developers and architects to turn specifications into test plans
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines
  • Integrate physical test rigs into automated workflows
  • Triage, isolate, and debug integration failures across the hardware–firmware interface
  • Monitor test coverage and QA metrics; enforce quality gates for SDK releases
  • Create documentation for processes and artifacts

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation; at least 3+ years in embedded systems/microcontrollers/SoC testing
  • 1+ year of leading QA team/-s
  • Strong Python skills for test automation frameworks/scripts and hardware integration utilities (PyTest preferred)
  • Solid understanding of modern C/C++ build processes
  • Experience with HIL test setups, CI/CD pipelines, and test execution on physical target boards
  • Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces, flash programmers, and debugging tools
  • Hands-on experience testing wireless protocols
  • Experience automating testing for build systems, SDK components, and toolchains (CMake, West, GCC, Clang)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for cross-boundary (hardware/firmware/automation) issues
  • B2 English for collaboration and technical documentation
