Description

Develop and maintain embedded firmware and C++ components for device communication and initial data processing. Implement new features, refactor existing code, and reduce technical debt while also maintaining a C++ desktop application using Qt and QML. Work on IoT communication modules with MQTT, integrate with device ecosystems (including CAN communication), and perform testing, debugging, and optimization of complex C++ systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware and C++ communication/data-processing components

• Add new functionality, refactor code, and reduce technical debt

• Maintain and deliver critical fixes for a C++ desktop application using Qt and QML

• Develop communication modules using MQTT and integrate with IoT devices and ecosystem components

• Work with device communication including CAN bus

• Implement application-layer and embedded data processing logic

• Develop components using shared memory and IPC

• Maintain and develop build systems using CMake and qmake

• Create and maintain unit and integration tests; debug complex C++ applications

• Analyze existing code, identify issues, and propose and implement optimizations

• Collaborate with architects and backend, Flutter, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of commercial C++ experience, including embedded/system projects

• Strong practical C++ knowledge with experience in code analysis, refactoring, and optimization

• Firmware and/or embedded software development experience

• Practical experience with MQTT

• CMake knowledge

• Experience with OpenSSL and Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)

• Unit testing with GoogleTest and integration testing experience

• Experience debugging and maintaining complex C++ applications

• Cross-platform development experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify technical issues and propose optimizations

• Proactive, collaborative technical approach

• English proficiency at C1
