Description

You will be the primary point of contact for Taxes, Finance & Controlling on complex process and system questions. The role includes leading project work for Finance applications, coordinating collaboration between IT and business, and implementing best practices for tax, group consolidation, risk management, and finance reporting.

You will analyze systems and processes for requirements, support the evolution of the finance application landscape, and create training materials while managing user roles and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for Taxes, Finance & Controlling for demanding process and system topics

• Provide functional leadership for small-to-mid-sized project teams and external service providers; coordinate cooperation in IT projects impacting Finance applications

• Coordinate measures and implement medium-complexity software or organizational projects in business-critical Finance functions

• Define, introduce, and accompany best-practice approaches for taxes, group consolidation, risk management, and finance reporting

• Conduct system and process baseline analyses to support requirements gathering; act as the IT interface between Finance, Taxes, Risk, and IT

• Contribute to the design and further development of the Finance application landscape

• Create training materials, conduct end-user trainings, and manage role and authorization concepts for finance and reporting systems

• Identify improvement opportunities across taxes, consolidation, risk management, and reporting; plan and realize measures in close coordination with Finance & Controlling

Requirements

• Degree in business informatics or an equivalent qualification

• Multi-year relevant professional experience in the Finance application/domain area

• Fluent German and very good English (spoken and written)

• Practical experience with at least one Finance module (e.g., SAP FI/CO or SAP S/4HANA)

• Basic knowledge of tax and/or consolidation tools

• Experience with reporting and analysis platforms

• Experience with SAP BW/BI and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for finance reporting, month/year-end close, and KPI dashboards

• Understanding of application architectures

• Basic knowledge of on-premise, hybrid, and SaaS solutions and their integration into the finance application landscape

• Ability to work cooperatively with project teams, business departments, and external service providers

• Willingness for regular business travel to sites, customers, or partners (domestic and possibly international)
