Description

Lead the evolution of an enterprise-scale design system and AI-enabled software delivery ecosystem, delivering strategic and tactical components that support how digital products are conceived, designed, and delivered. Enable AI-powered workflows across the full software development lifecycle—requirements and ideation through prototyping, engineering handoff, and launch—using machine-readable design standards and prompt-to-prototype approaches. Drive craft quality, efficiency, adoption, and measurable improvements across a multidisciplinary product-development environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish XD frameworks and practices to deliver complex, world-class software solutions within time, scope, and budget
• Align design and delivery to product-development vision and strategy across the end-to-end lifecycle
• Resolve ambiguous problems independently and proactively with limited direction
• Lead AI-enabled design and development workflows from concept through implementation
• Prototype, test, and refine experiences that demonstrate how AI accelerates discovery and delivery
• Evolve the design system and design-to-development lifecycle as a scalable platform for product creation with consistency, accessibility, and usability
• Translate business, user, and technology requirements into actionable experience solutions and reusable patterns
• Develop advanced design-system frameworks, component libraries, reusable code solutions, and governance practices
• Conceptualize multi-modal/digital interaction patterns across conversation interfaces, web, and mobile (iOS/Android)
• Use research and analytics (including A/B testing and usability studies) to improve experiences across employee and customer journeys
• Lead design critique, mentor designers, and improve efficiency through repeatable methods
• Benchmark reusable patterns and heuristics using competitive insights to advance discussions
• Facilitate workshops and discussions; influence stakeholders across programs and portfolios
• Analyze workflows and apply automation/AI to reduce friction and increase quality

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry design experience with multidisciplinary product design, design system expertise, and design system delivery enhancement
• Experience designing multi-channel consumer-facing apps and AI-powered experiences (responsive web; complex system, ecommerce, and transactional)
• Experience leading design-to-development transformation and adoption of design systems, reusable frameworks, prompt-to-prototype workflows, and AI-assisted design in large organizations
• Experience building component libraries, token-based systems, accessibility programs, or platform ecosystems; collaborate with engineering teams on front-end frameworks, developer tooling, automation platforms, or API-connected workflows
• Experience leveraging MCP, AI agents, automation, or assistants to improve product design or delivery outcomes
• Highly proficient with design/design-system and design-to-code tools such as Figma, GitHub Copilot, Lovable, Cursor, and Claude Code
• Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and rapid ideation methods (Lean UX, Design Sprints, Agile)
• Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to ship customer-facing digital products
• Ability to lead and advance a design system within brand guidelines
• Experience using qualitative, quantitative, attitudinal, behavioral, and analytics data to inform decisions
• Self-motivated problem solver with strong time management and reliable issue resolution
• Strong relationship-building and influence across engineering and product peers
• Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
• Ability to apply legal, risk, regulatory knowledge and domain expertise to solutions and strategy
