Description

Design and develop backend applications, serverless components, and microservices that power enterprise-grade API management, security, and integration capabilities. Build and maintain REST APIs and API management solutions using Kong API Gateway and Kong Konnect, and implement security using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, SSL/TLS, and mTLS. Support CI/CD and GitOps deployments and monitor production systems using CloudWatch and Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications, serverless functions, and microservices supporting enterprise API management
• Build and maintain REST APIs and API management solutions using Kong API Gateway and Kong Konnect
• Develop and deploy serverless components using AWS Lambda
• Collaborate in a SCRUM team and follow Agile methodology
• Implement API security measures including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, SSL/TLS, and mTLS
• Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices for continuous deployment
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using CloudWatch and Splunk

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing backend applications, serverless architectures, microservices, REST APIs, and API management solutions
• Practical experience with Kong API Gateway, Kong Konnect, REST APIs, API Management, and API Security
• Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python
• Knowledge of AWS services: ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, Route 53, IAM, Secrets Manager
• Experience with DevOps and observability: Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, Bash, CloudWatch, Splunk
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, SSL/TLS, and mTLS
• Experience working within a SCRUM team and Agile methodology
• Excellent English communication skills with ability to work in a client-facing capacity
