Description

Design and develop backend applications, serverless components, and microservices that power enterprise-grade API management, security, and integrations. Build and maintain REST APIs and API management solutions using Kong API Gateway and Kong Konnect, and deploy serverless components on AWS Lambda. Implement API security (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SSL/TLS, and mTLS) and support continuous deployment with CI/CD and GitOps, monitoring production with CloudWatch and Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications, serverless functions, and microservices supporting enterprise API management
• Build and maintain REST APIs and API management solutions using Kong API Gateway and Kong Konnect
• Develop and deploy serverless components using AWS Lambda
• Collaborate in a SCRUM team using Agile methodology
• Implement API security measures: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, SSL/TLS, and mTLS
• Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices for continuous deployment
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using CloudWatch and Splunk

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Master’s degree is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing backend applications, serverless architectures, microservices, REST APIs, and API management solutions
• Practical experience with Kong API Gateway and Kong Konnect
• Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python
• Knowledge of AWS services: ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, Route 53, IAM, Secrets Manager
• DevOps and observability experience: Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, Bash, CloudWatch, Splunk
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, SSL/TLS, and mTLS
• Experience working within a SCRUM team and Agile methodology
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English for a client-facing role
