Description

Design, develop, and operate high-throughput, low-latency identity services including SSO, MFA, session management, and federation. Own features end-to-end from design through production and support, implementing secure OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect flows and JWT token issuance, rotation, and revocation. Serve as a subject matter expert on authentication and identity security, including threat modeling and secure integration guidance.

Responsibilities

• Build and run identity services: SSO, MFA, session management, federation
• Deliver end-to-end features (design, production ownership, and support)
• Implement and scale authentication/authorization protocols and token formats (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT)
• Create secure token issuance, rotation, and revocation strategies
• Write concurrent, idiomatic, testable, high-performance backend services in Go
• Define clear API contracts using gRPC/HTTP
• Deploy, manage, and automate identity infrastructure using DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, incident response)
• Own authentication and identity security reviews and threat modeling; guide teams on secure integrations
• Integrate and maintain custom/standard identity providers (e.g., Keycloak, AWS Cognito) and federation patterns
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and contribute to technical roadmap and security posture

Requirements

• 7+ years backend engineering, including 5+ years with Go
• IAM production experience
• Production-grade Go and gRPC experience building complex distributed systems
• Deep expertise in authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SSO, MFA, RBAC, JWT, token security, session management, cryptography)
• Strong web security, federated identity, secure coding, and OWASP Top 10 knowledge
• Hands-on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform experience
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency systems with security and correctness
• Strong communication skills for security/architecture trade-offs
• English Upper-Intermediate or higher
