Description

You will continuously develop and maintain Java-based backend components, implementing new features and interfaces in coordination with Product Management and customer requirements. The role also involves shaping the platform’s system architecture, ensuring high code quality with automated tests and regular code reviews. You will work closely with frontend development, product management, and support within agile product development processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based backend components

• Implement new features and interfaces for modern media workflows

• Contribute to technical system conception and evolution of the platform architecture

• Ensure code quality with automated tests and regular code reviews

• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, product management, and support

• Actively participate in agile development and share knowledge with the team

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Java backend or full-stack development experience

• Strong software architecture and software design knowledge

• Experience applying software design patterns

• Practical experience with automated tests (unit and/or API tests) and static code analysis

• Familiarity with databases

• Team experience in agile product development

• Ideally experience with Git, JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, React), Docker, Python, and CI/CD pipelines

• Very good German skills in writing and speaking (C1+)
