• Role: QA Automation Engineer

• Focus: Automated testing and validation for a software control platform for a specialized electron microscope

• Work pattern: Onsite in Brno-Slatina at least 2 days per week

Description

You will support QA for new functionality and software changes delivered by development teams for a SEMI EFA control platform. The work includes continuous validation during feature development, automation of selected test scenarios, and verification against simulation as well as real laboratory equipment. You will collaborate with developers in the USA and help build a new team in Brno.

Responsibilities

• Test new features and changes delivered in sprint cycles

• Perform ongoing validation of software changes together with developers during development

• Propose and implement automation for selected test scenarios where it adds value

• Verify functionality against simulation and real laboratory hardware

• Coordinate with the US team (communication, knowledge sharing, documentation)

Requirements

• Experience in software testing/validation/integration testing with Python

• Ability to analyze, reproduce, and thoroughly describe bugs

• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle

• Technical English communication skills

• Advantage: Knowledge of physics (optics/electron optics)

• Advantage: Orientation in C# or C++ code

• Advantage: Experience with automation, measurement, or control of hardware devices

• Advantage: Broader overlap with software development and experience with similar systems (microscopes, semiconductor technologies)
