Description

Join the backend team contributing to the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW) project, a new EU-wide digital identity standard. You will design and build key parts of the system, develop and evolve a microservices architecture, and collaborate on technical decisions with architects, analysts, mobile teams, and QA specialists. You may also take technical leadership of the backend team depending on your experience and interest.

Role responsibilities

• Actively participate in the design and development of core system components
• Design and evolve microservice architecture
• Contribute to technical decisions about the solution’s design
• Conduct code reviews and share experience with the team
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, mobile teams, and QA specialists
• Help build a secure, scalable system of European importance
• Optionally take technical leadership of the backend team

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of the Java / Spring Boot ecosystem
• Strong knowledge of databases and application containerization
• Experience building microservices applications
• Ability to take responsibility for your development stream and the quality of delivered solutions
• Plus: experience in security, authentication, digital identity, or high-reliability/data-protection systems
• Plus: experience with technical leadership or mentoring developers
• Ability to start almost immediately
• Technical university degree (information technology)
• Perfect Czech/Slovak and English proficiency
