Java Developer – Microservices and Cloud Infrastructure

Warsaw-based opportunity with a hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office).

As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to designing and delivering robust, high-performance microservices supporting securities settlements and post-trade processing systems. Your work will power critical financial operations, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot to deliver scalable, reliable financial solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy solutions on cloud infrastructure, particularly with Kubernetes and Argo CD.
• Implement and optimize event-driven systems using Kafka to improve real-time processing.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines through GitLab to support smooth integration and continuous deployment.
• Monitor system health and performance with Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack to maintain availability and efficiency.
• Work in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Maintain thorough documentation for system enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies to improve performance and security.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Java development experience in financial services or related fields.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with SDLC tools, especially GitLab.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• Good command of English.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of securities settlements and post-trade processing systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, or Claude.
• Certifications or training in cloud computing or financial systems.
