Description

You will develop and maintain inventory and supply planning models to support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and enterprise decision-making. The role focuses on building dashboards, scenario modeling, and automation to improve analytics reliability and planning outcomes. You will also refresh portfolio inventory targets, tune key inventory parameters, and provide inventory health insights for S&OE/S&OP processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data-driven insights, dashboards, and scenario modeling for supply planners and enterprise decision-making

  • Drive continuous improvement in supply and inventory analytics, data quality, and model reliability

  • Automate and scale advanced analytics using Python, SQL, and BI tools

  • Partner with supply planning stakeholders to align analytics with standards, governance, and process maturity

  • Build, maintain, and enhance inventory optimization models (safety stock, segmentation, variability-based rules, reorder logic)

  • Refresh inventory targets across the portfolio and ensure alignment with service expectations and supply constraints

  • Monitor and tune inventory parameters (lead times, variability, cycle stock inputs, yield factors)

  • Analyze inventory health (target adherence, shortages, excess, age, replenishment performance)

  • Provide inventory-focused scenario analysis for demand/supply/service-level changes

  • Support modeling of supply capability (RCCP, constraints, capacity modeling, yield/throughput assumptions)

  • Generate dashboards and KPIs for plan stability, attainment, constraint exposure, and readiness

  • Enable S&OE/S&OP with near-term supply-demand coverage analytics and early warning indicators

  • Develop and maintain supply-focused scenario models, coverage calculators, and constraint dashboards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Typically 8+ years of experience in data science (or equivalent)

  • Extensive knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis

  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire, or similar)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong executive presence and leadership/communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supply planning and forecasting in a commercial setting

  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques and frameworks
