Description

The Senior Medical Director – Dyslipidemia shapes product and disease area strategy and provides strategic direction for evidence generation, education, and publication. The role leads external scientific collaborations and serves as a key scientific driver for regulatory and labeling interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and subject matter expertise to create, deliver, and evolve disease area and brand strategies and plans
  • Build external collaborations (e.g., relationships with KEEs, investigators, scientific associations, digital therapeutics/diagnostics partners) and incorporate external advice to drive strategy
  • Lead advisory board strategy for the product and disease area
  • Lead the product and disease area externally sponsored research (ESR) program
  • Shape and drive strategic publication plans and evidence generation initiatives
  • Provide medical leadership for regulatory and labeling interactions
  • Anticipate future trends and needs in the marketplace through partnership and innovative thinking

Requirements

  • MD, PhD, or PharmD
  • Medical/clinical/scientific expertise in CVRM
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally in Medical Affairs, or relevant Medical/Healthcare experience
  • Strategic, innovative thinker with executive presence
  • Track record delivering results in complex matrix environments and leading large-scale impactful medical initiatives
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build internal and external networks
  • Strong analytical mindset to distill information into key messages and actions
  • Experience and/or appreciation of product launches and product life cycle management
  • Persuasive oral and written communication skills, including impactful presentations
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse functions and levels, and with external organizations
  • Business acumen and familiarity with the US healthcare system and key pharmaceutical regulations
  • At-will position; company may modify base pay and discretionary compensation based on performance, company/department performance, and market factors
