Description

You will help develop and maintain a SaaS loyalty & gamification platform by building new functionalities, fixing bugs, improving REST API quality, and ensuring scalability and performance. The role includes writing unit and integration tests (including API/contract tests), collaborating with frontend teams on REST integration, maintaining architecture and dependencies, and keeping technical documentation up to date.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product features and maintain existing ones (bug fixes included)
• Ensure REST API quality
• Ensure scalability & performance; conduct stress tests and performance-related optimization
• Write and maintain unit, integration, API, and contract tests
• Collaborate with frontend teams on REST API integration
• Maintain and evolve application architecture and regularly update dependencies
• Perform code reviews
• Maintain technical documentation
• Support performance-related engineering decisions and optimization

Requirements

• Proven commercial experience creating PHP applications
• Strong knowledge of Symfony 7+
• Experience developing REST APIs
• Experience with DDD
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (especially PostgreSQL) and ability to optimize SQL queries
• Ability to use AI in day-to-day work (e.g., code review, generating snippets, analyzing code)
• Ability to independently propose technical improvements and solutions
• Experience streamlining processes via technical automation
• Strong quality mindset; able to design, write, and execute tests as part of delivery
• Oversight of performance-related matters and optimization to meet performance standards
• Knowledge of OOP, PSR standards, and SOLID principles
• Experience with Docker and Docker-Compose
• Experience with Git
• Ability to perform code review
• English at least B1 and Polish fluency at C2
