Description

You will build and extend a high-scale SaaS e-commerce platform by delivering short, well-specified backend projects in core admin modules. The work emphasizes refactoring legacy supported by unit and functional tests, modular code changes, and backend development in vanilla PHP 8.2+ with parameterized MySQL queries (no ORM/framework). You’ll also work with a new OpenAPI-based middleware API and collaborate closely with the Tech Lead, Product Managers, and QA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver short, well-specified projects in core IdoSell modules (admin panel)
• Refactor legacy together with unit and functional tests
• Keep code more modular than it was before each change
• Develop backend services in vanilla PHP 8.2+ using parameterized queries to MySQL (no ORM, no “framework that thinks for you”)
• Occasionally create simple screens using ready React components (you’ll be focused on backend, not fullstack)
• Work with the OpenAPI REST API and collaborate with Tech Lead, Product Managers, and QA

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in software development
• Good knowledge of PHP 8.2+ and OOP
• MySQL experience with the ability to write queries without ORM support
• Practical experience writing tests with PHPUnit
• Ability to work with APIs (REST, OpenAPI) and Git
• English level sufficient for comfortably reading documentation
• Analytical thinking and ability to gather requirements
• Willingness to work from the Szczecin office (not fully remote)
