Description

You will lead the development of the EGSE area, covering the design, build, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of hardware and software test systems used for satellite and space-system integration, testing, and validation. The role combines technical, system-level, and organizational responsibilities, translating project requirements into working solutions and directing the evolution of the test infrastructure. You will coordinate the team building advanced test environments and support verification activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the EGSE team responsible for development and maintenance
  • Define architecture and requirements for systems and facilities supporting satellite integration and testing
  • Oversee the design, build, integration, and commissioning of EGSE hardware and software
  • Ensure test infrastructure readiness for integration, functional, and environmental test campaigns
  • Collaborate with System Engineering, Electronics, Software, Mechanical Design, and AIT teams
  • Support requirements definition, test planning, and verification activities
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues during integration and testing
  • Develop standards, processes, and best practices for designing and operating EGSE environments
  • Participate in technical reviews and assess project risks
  • Plan team work and support engineers’ competence development

Requirements

  • Higher technical education (electronics, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, telecommunications, aerospace/space or related)
  • Experience designing, integrating, commissioning, or maintaining complex test systems
  • Practical knowledge of electronics, measurement systems, and laboratory instrumentation
  • Experience creating or operating infrastructure used to test technical systems
  • Ability to read technical documentation and electrical schematics
  • Experience running technical projects or coordinating an engineering team
  • Ability to work across multiple technical disciplines
  • English proficiency enabling work on international projects
