Description

You will build new features and enhance existing Java backend applications for tax compliance, customer account management, and investment services related to pension and savings products. The role focuses on compliance with changing tax regulations across multiple countries and on integrations with tax authorities and client reporting. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle and contribute to engineering best practices through mentoring and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investment products

• Build and enhance calculation engines ensuring compliance with changing tax regulations across multiple countries

• Develop solutions for complex business processes, integrations with tax authorities, and client reporting

• Participate in all SDLC phases: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment

• Collaborate with business and financial analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices

• Use AI-powered tools and automation to improve product quality and development efficiency

Requirements

• Proven senior backend Java development experience

• Strong knowledge of Java 21

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem

• Solid understanding of Hibernate, object-oriented programming, and design patterns

• Experience with relational databases and SQL, especially PostgreSQL

• Knowledge of messaging technologies and protocols such as JMS or MQ

• Experience designing and integrating APIs using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices

• Strong analytical thinking and collaboration skills
