Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to take ownership of the development and maintenance of key business-critical components. This hybrid role requires working from the client’s office in Kraków or Wrocław, Poland, 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain impacted components: Buylist, IPCM, ADDP, IAPS and Trade Consolidator
• Estimate development effort for incoming requirements
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards
• Organize and facilitate Scrum meetings
• Support testing activities and defect resolution

Requirements

• 3+ years of expert-level proficiency in Java 7/8
• Expertise in Spring Framework, JSP and Maven
• Familiarity with SVN for version control
• Proven capability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Background in code reviews and effort estimation
• Strong backend development skills
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, Oracle DB and SQL
• Understanding of Jakarta EE and legacy system modernization
• Familiarity with Gen AI-assisted development and Prompt Engineering
• JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills for front-end support
• Financial services domain background
