Senior Java Developer

Warsaw-based opportunity with a hybrid work model (3 days at the office).

Description

As a Senior Java Developer, you will support large-scale enterprise projects that drive digital transformation in the financial industry. You will build secure, scalable, high-performance backend solutions using modern Java features and microservices architecture to deliver mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop code using Software Craftsmanship best practices and quality standards.
• Understand business requirements and define technical solutions.
• Regularly deliver product increments.
• Work remotely with a development team located in Paris.
• Apply release processes and provide L1/L2/L3 production support through technical fixes.
• Identify solutions that ensure security, scalability, and efficiency.
• Analyze errors and contribute to continuous-improvement solutions.
• Participate in weekend operations for resiliency tests and upgrades 2–3 weekends per year.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant Java backend development experience.
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency with Jenkins and Maven.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of web services.
• Knowledge of Agile and BDD practices.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Logstash, Kibana, and Elasticsearch monitoring tools.
• Polish or French language skills.
• Finance and banking experience.
