Description

You will administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments and PostgreSQL/MongoDB database systems. The role includes diagnosing and resolving OS and database incidents, applying security updates, analyzing root causes, and implementing preventive actions. You will also support backup and restore procedures and collaborate with security, network, virtualization, backup, and application teams.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
  • Administer and maintain PostgreSQL and MongoDB database environments
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents and technical problems; analyze root causes and implement preventive measures
  • Install, test, and deploy security patches and OS/database updates
  • Participate in backup and restore procedures for RHEL and PostgreSQL/MongoDB
  • Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability analysis and remediation
  • Work with network, virtualization platform, backup, and application administrators
  • Create and update technical documentation
  • Automate repetitive administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Several years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux and PostgreSQL/MongoDB environments
  • Experience with production systems using high availability (RHEL failover clusters, PostgreSQL cluster, MongoDB replica set)
  • Experience in security-related administration for RHEL and PostgreSQL/MongoDB
  • Practical knowledge of backup and restore activities for RHEL and PostgreSQL/MongoDB
  • Ability to analyze system and database logs
  • Knowledge of standards and best practices for maintaining IT infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (root-cause and performance issue analysis) in production
  • Ability to evaluate the impact of changes on production environments
  • Experience automating administration tasks using scripts and administration tools
  • Ability to work under time pressure during critical incidents
