Description

Guide the integration of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies into production to ensure reliability, cost efficiency, and quality. Lead a manufacturing engineering team to support high-mix hardware, drive design-for-manufacturing and process development, and mentor engineers to achieve key milestones. Scale and qualify advanced manufacturing approaches across machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, bonding, coatings, and joining.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary manufacturing engineering team for design-for-manufacturing, process development, and implementation across the manufacturing architecture.

  • Oversee manufacturing requirements, process specifications, and root cause investigations for reliable, high-quality production.

  • Set team priorities, track projects, and mentor engineers to deliver company milestones.

  • Develop approaches for manufacturing process qualification, production scalability, and automation.

  • Implement advanced manufacturing strategies including machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, bonding, coatings, and joining.

  • Identify and deploy novel manufacturing technologies to improve quality, reduce cost, and increase throughput.

  • Collaborate with design, materials, quality, and production teams to influence hardware design and production readiness.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within manufacturing engineering

  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering with significant aerospace or defense exposure

  • CAD proficiency (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD) and strong GD&T knowledge

  • Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems

  • Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing, robotics, and automation

  • Track record leading complex projects from concept through production for high-performance, high-reliability applications
