Description

You will build API adapters, output formatting/citation packaging, and shared infrastructure so the platform’s API gateway works reliably for external partners and collaboration tools. You’ll implement schema validation, rate limiting and abuse control, authentication infrastructure, and audit logging, while contributing tests and quality practices with senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build API adapters between the gateway and internal data/search/AI services

• Implement output formatting and citation packaging for different channel consumers

• Contribute to schema validation, rate limiting, and abuse control infrastructure

• Build and maintain authentication infrastructure and audit logging

• Develop shared abstractions across multiple channel adapters

• Write tests and support pod-wide quality practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building APIs or backend services in Python

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON schema, and HTTP fundamentals

• Familiarity with authentication patterns (OAuth, API keys)

• Proficiency with modern Python web frameworks

• Detail-oriented approach to API boundary correctness

• Comfort working in a fast-moving team with changing priorities
