Description

You will help turn product direction into well-prepared, efficiently executed work for Surfer—an AI visibility platform used to track, plan, write, and optimize content for Google and AI search tools.

You’ll prepare feature and task descriptions, specs, and documentation; track statuses, next steps, and follow-through; keep decision information flowing; and support product discovery and delivery.

You’ll also prepare product, competitive, and market research by gathering and organizing input from users and internal teams, maintaining decision logs, and analyzing basic product data.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare feature and task descriptions, specs, and supporting documentation

  • Track statuses, next steps, and follow-through on agreed decisions

  • Ensure decisions are communicated clearly and executed as intended

  • Support product discovery and delivery

  • Prepare product, competitive, and market research

  • Gather and organize input from users and internal teams

  • Maintain decision logs

  • Analyze basic product data

  • Collaborate with the exec team and developers

  • Drive a clear, transparent communication process

  • Coordinate smaller initiatives end-to-end

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in a product company close to how features are built (not necessarily a formal “Product Manager” title; support, marketing, QA, or similar counts)

  • Basic understanding of the software development process

  • Organized and reliable; can structure scattered information and deliver commitments

  • Takes feedback well; proactively flags risks and gaps and brings recommendations

  • Conversational Polish
