Description

Design and implement robust, high-performance backend services for front-office electronic trading. Work on ultra-low-latency, event-driven architecture that routes and manages orders algorithmically across multiple asset classes. Collaborate directly with traders and product teams on greenfield and semi-greenfield development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust software solutions for equities and FX trading systems using core Java

• Build high-performance backend services for algorithmic order management and order routing

• Create thorough test cases to ensure software stability and reliability

• Collaborate with operations teams to build new features and improve existing functionality

Requirements

• Current Java programming experience, including algorithms, complexity, and multi-threading

• Strong understanding of Java standard libraries and the Java collections framework

• Proven experience building backend services for front-office trading systems

• Deep understanding of front-office workflows and electronic trading platforms (any asset class)

• Experience building or contributing to algorithmic order management systems or order routing systems (any asset class)

• Expertise in multi-threading, event-driven systems, and performance tuning

• Ability to break down complex workflows into maintainable, high-quality solutions

• Strong communication skills for high-stakes, trader-facing environments

• Knowledge required for low-latency trading systems (microseconds)

• Ability to align work with ~6-hour overlap with US Eastern business hours

• English proficiency

• Poland residency and legal permission to work in Poland
