Description

As a Data Analyst Intern, you will learn and apply data analytics expertise within the Aviation Parts and Distribution organization to generate actionable insights and recommendations from internal and external data. You will perform data mining and statistical analysis, collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes, and help manage high-quality curated datasets for reporting and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis using data-mining and statistical techniques to support business objectives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement new processes

  • Collect, manage, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data while ensuring high data quality

  • Develop and maintain curated datasets for analysis using appropriate tools

  • Build and maintain data reports for daily business activities using Power BI, Alteryx, and other tools

  • Use SQL and DAX for queries and formula logic

  • Support data governance efforts to improve data quality standards within TAPD

  • Provide business recommendations for new initiatives aligned to business objectives

  • Interface with other data professionals to expand cross-functional analytics capabilities

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field

  • Authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of application; visa sponsorship not available

  • Drive and desire to excel in an autonomous environment

  • Bias for action; ability to take initiative

  • Desire and ability to learn and leverage new software tools and processes in a self-learning environment

  • Available for 40 hours/week from late-May to early-August (10 weeks)

  • Ability to work onsite for the entire internship unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager
